When you shorten a link, the reputation of the final destination directly impacts your own credibility. If your audience clicks a link and ends up on a malicious or compromised site, they may lose trust in your brand.
How URL Zone Ensures Link Safety
URL Zone automatically performs a check on every destination URL you attempt to shorten. Our system references established security lists and blocklists to verify the safety of the web page.
If the destination URL is flagged for security risks, malware, or suspicious activity, our system will prevent the link from being created. This automated step serves as a frontline defense, ensuring that you do not inadvertently share dangerous redirects.
Troubleshooting Failed URL Shortening
If you encounter an error when attempting to shorten a specific URL, it is possible that the domain has been identified as unsafe. Do not attempt to bypass these security protocols. Instead, verify that your destination link is accurate, legitimate, and hosted on a secure server.
Always review your destination links before sharing them. A clean, secure destination page not only protects your users but also maintains the integrity of your professional communications.
