This policy explains how to cancel your URLZone subscription, when cancellation takes effect, and what happens to your account and data afterwards.

Cancellation Policy — URLZone by Soft24 Technologies

URLZone subscriptions are managed and billed by Soft24 Technologies. You may cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fee. Cancelling stops future renewals; your paid plan remains active and fully functional until the end of the period already paid for. For any queries, contact us at support@urlzone.in.

1 How to Cancel Your Subscription

Cancellation is self-service and takes just a few steps from your account settings:

    Log in to your account Sign in to URLZone at urlzone.in using your registered email address and password.

    Go to Account Settings Navigate to your Profile and open the Subscription section.
  • 3
    Click “Cancel Subscription” Select the cancel option and confirm in the dialogue that appears. You will be asked to confirm your intent before cancellation is processed.

    Receive confirmation A cancellation confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address confirming the effective end date of your paid plan.
If you are unable to cancel via account settings, contact us at support@urlzone.in or raise a ticket at the Support Centre and our team will process the cancellation within 1 business day.
2 Cancellation Timeline

The effect of your cancellation depends on your subscription type and when the request is made:

Monthly plan Immediately stops the next monthly renewal End of current monthly billing cycle
Annual plan Immediately stops the next annual renewal End of current annual billing period
Trial / first 7 days Eligible for full refund — see Refund Policy Immediately upon refund confirmation
Account deletion Effective immediately upon confirmation Immediately — all data permanently removed
To avoid being charged for the next renewal period, cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before your renewal date. If a renewal charge is processed before your cancellation is completed, standard billing terms apply and the charge is non-refundable.
3 Service Access After Cancellation

Cancelling your subscription does not cut off access immediately. Your paid plan remains fully active and functional for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for.

During the remaining paid period

  • All paid features continue to work without interruption
  • All existing shortened links continue to redirect visitors normally
  • Analytics dashboard remains fully accessible
  • API access (Pro / Business) continues at your plan’s rate limits
  • Custom subdomain (Business plan) continues to function
  • You may continue creating new links up to your plan quota

When the paid period ends

  • Your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan — no action needed
  • All existing shortened links are preserved and continue redirecting
  • Analytics data retained for 30 days on the Free plan
  • New link creation is limited to the Free plan quota
  • Custom subdomain is deactivated; links under it stop resolving
  • API access is revoked until a paid plan is reactivated
  • Password-protected links revert to unprotected if over the Free plan feature limit
Your data is safe. Cancelling a subscription never deletes your account or your links. You can reactivate at any time and regain full access to your data.
4 Plan Downgrade vs Account Deletion

Cancelling a subscription and deleting your account are two different actions. Choose the one that matches your situation:

Cancel subscription (downgrade to Free)
  • Account and login are preserved
  • All shortened links kept active
  • Analytics data retained (30 days)
  • Can reactivate a paid plan at any time
  • Free plan features remain available
  • Reversible — no data loss
Delete account (permanent)
  • Account and credentials permanently removed
  • All shortened links permanently deleted
  • All analytics data permanently erased
  • All links stop redirecting immediately
  • Cannot be undone under any circumstances
  • Irreversible — permanent data loss
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once confirmed, all your links, analytics data, and account information are permanently erased and cannot be recovered. We strongly recommend cancelling your subscription (downgrading to Free) unless you are certain you want to remove all data.
5 Reactivating Your Subscription

You can reactivate your URLZone paid subscription at any time after cancellation by subscribing to a Pro or Business plan from your account:

  • Same account: Log in with your existing credentials and subscribe from the Pricing page or your account dashboard — all your existing links and data will be available immediately.
  • Analytics history: Previously retained analytics data (within Free plan limits) will be accessible. Historical data beyond the Free plan retention window (30 days) may no longer be available.
  • Pro-rated billing: Reactivating mid-month on a monthly plan will be charged for the full first month. Annual plan billing starts a new annual cycle from the reactivation date.
  • Custom subdomains: Business plan subdomains can be reconfigured upon reactivation; previously used subdomain aliases are restored subject to availability.
There is no lock-in or penalty for cancelling and reactivating. You are always free to subscribe, cancel, and re-subscribe at any time.
